Coarse Salt & Oranges

I don’t know why this is so good, but it is.  Big fat juicy orange slices with just a sprinkle of course salt – nothing more.  You can serve it as an appetizer or a simple dessert.

I like to get my fruits and vegetables from a small farm market nearby. It’s a mom-and-pop operation located directly across the street from a big box supermarket. They have better produce than the big box and usually better prices.  I like to support the little guy… you should too.

Need This
2 large oranges
Course salt

Do This

Slice the oranges cross wise into about 1/4 inch slices (or larger or smaller as you prefer) then cut the slices in half to get half-moons.

Sprinkle a little course salt over top.  Serve immediately.

Serves 4.  My cost approx. $ 1.10 Total – about 28 cents per serving.
