Turkey, Bacon & Cranberry Wraps

Marca Relli 2025

So yesterday I found a slice of turkey in the middle of my bathtub. You might be wondering why was there a slice of turkey in the middle of his bathtub? I wondered that too. I’m pretty sure this kind of thing would only happen here in the Stew. Here’s my hypothesis. We have cats. Three cats to be exact. One of them did it but no one is fessing. I think one of them somehow got a hold of a slice of turkey and made off with it when no one was looking. He/she then deposited said turkey into the bathtub so as to revisit it later that evening for a midnight snack.

I don’t think the culprit ever thought we would find it. But we did. I removed the evidence and tossed it in the trash can. Later that evening I felt an angry glare following me and one of the three cats kept giving me the stink eye whenever I looked at him. Busted!

If you have leftover turkey – and I know you do – this recipe is one good way to repurpose it. All you need to do is fry up some bacon nice and crisp-like. The other ingredients you already have. If you have cats around, keep an eye on them.

We here in the Stew like jellied cranberry sauce but you can use the whole berry cranberry sauce if that’s more to your liking. All I have to say about that is – Ew!

Note: All ingredients should be at room temperature before assembling the wrap.

Need This
2 – 3 slices of thin sliced turkey breast
2 slices crispy fried bacon
Butter
Canned cranberry sauce
Sandwich wraps (or burritos)

Do This
Fry the bacon up first and set on paper towels to cool and remove excess fat.

Slap a wrap down onto a large round plate.

Layer in the sliced turkey breast. Layer it a little left of center of the wrap.

Put a generous shmear of butter over the turkey.

Put the bacon strips on next and press them down gently into the butter.

Next scrape the cranberry sauce over the bacon.

Roll up the wrap and gently press down to seal the tab.

Serve. Makes one wrap.
